I felt very sad :( about the stampede that happened at Rajahmundry on account of Godavari pushkar which started this morning in a grand manner. My thoughts are with friends and families of those who died due to this, may their souls rest in peace. I wanted to tell here one thing this is not only the mistake of government who failed to make proper arrangements but also the people who were there. I know in what kind of situation stampede will happen without our involvement, people start pushing each other. As per my idea it might happened due to the thinking of people who wanted to take a holy dip in godavari river as early as possible. you should give respect to the children, old people and women out there so that they can go safely and take holy bath. Government should keep separate barricades for them and allow only limited quantity of people but people might get angry due to this act but safety is more important than anything right. I started reading so many articles related to these kinds of stampedes happened at holy places and got shocked by the count who dead.
You will not get "mukthi/punya" just because of a dip in the holy water. It will come only by helping each other and with true love. I am not saying taking a bath in holy water will not give us anything. I strongly believe not only this holy both but also every act we do in temples ,churches or mosques etc., will help to clean our inner souls and open the doors of wisdom. This will make us to go in a good path and give us knowledge to decide between good and bad. These kind of holy dips will reduce our sins that we do knowingly or unknowingly.
I pray to god that this kind of stampedes never happen again.
